War and Society
Perception of the Acéras War
After more than 200 years of conflict, most people are weary of it but understand the necessity of defending themselves. The war is seen as a necessary evil.
Glorification of veterans: The Empire glorifies its veterans and creates war heroes to maintain morale. However, a growing pacifist movement criticizes the perpetuation of the conflict.
Traumatized generation: With a life expectancy of 150-200 years, some citizens have lived through the entire Acéras war since its beginning, creating a generation deeply scarred by two centuries of conflict.
Mobilization and Social Impact
During the final phase (5755), the mobilization of 3-5% of the population affects all families. Almost everyone knows someone serving on the front.
This massive mobilization in a post-scarcity society accustomed to comfort creates tensions, but also a sense of common purpose that temporarily unifies the Empire.
