Base Stats Cost (HP and Speed)
Base stats represent your character’s fundamental physical capabilities: their Hit Points (HP) and their movement Speed.
Hit Points (HP)
Hit Points determine your character’s resistance to damage.
| HP | Cost | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | 0 pts (free) | Reference baseline |
| 31-33 | 1 pt | Slightly more resilient |
| 34-60 | 2-10 pts | Normal progression |
| 61-90 | 11-20 pts | Very resilient |
| 91-120 | 21-30 pts | Extremely durable |
Formula: 1 point per 3 HP above 30 (rounded up)
Examples
- HP 30: 0 pts (free baseline)
- HP 45: 5 pts ((45-30)/3 = 5)
- HP 60: 10 pts ((60-30)/3 = 10)
- HP 90: 20 pts ((90-30)/3 = 20)
- HP 100: 24 pts ((100-30)/3 = 23.33, rounded to 24)
Movement Speed
Speed determines how many meters your character can move in one turn.
| Speed | Cost | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 3 m | 0 pts (free) | Base speed (normal human) |
| 4 m | 5 pts | Faster than average |
| 5 m | 10 pts | Fast |
| 6 m | 15 pts | Very fast |
| 7 m | 20 pts | Extremely fast |
| 8 m+ | 25+ pts | Superhuman speed |
Formula: 5 points per Speed point above 3
Examples
- Speed 3: 0 pts (free baseline)
- Speed 5: 10 pts ((5-3)x5 = 10)
- Speed 6: 15 pts ((6-3)x5 = 15)
- Speed 8: 25 pts ((8-3)x5 = 25)
Building Advice
Typical base stats:
-
Spellcaster: HP 60 (10 pts) + Speed 5 (10 pts) = 20 points
- Prioritizes mobility to keep their distance
-
Balanced fighter: HP 90 (20 pts) + Speed 5 (10 pts) = 30 points
- Good balance between resilience and mobility
-
Heavy tank: HP 120 (30 pts) + Speed 4 (5 pts) = 35 points
- Maximizes survival at the expense of speed
-
Agile assassin: HP 60 (10 pts) + Speed 7 (20 pts) = 30 points
- Prioritizes mobility and evasion
Typical range: 15-35 points in base stats
Cost Rationale
- HP: The cost increases linearly but remains moderate (1 pt/3 HP). Doubling your HP from 30 to 60 costs only 10 points.
- Speed: High cost (5 pts/point) because tactical mobility is very powerful in combat. +1 m of movement can be decisive.
